Cat Poem (Free verse) by MacFrantic
Looking out my kitchen window Shining sun came through The cloud were moving to and fro Beneath the sky so blue I saw a little kitten there Just playing in the street He circled thus with little care He pranced around so sweet I looked at him, he back at me We caught each other's eye He came across the road to see For sure he was not shy And as he came I felt a joy So deep inside my chest Standing there I was a boy Whose heart had just beat best Peacefully, I went to go And hold the small feline I held him in my fingers so And broke his little spine I hate cats

Up the ladder: The still wheel
Down the ladder: Goldmunds Slut Fiasco.

Aww. That's lovely. I'd recommend getting rid of the last line, though. It works well with it, but it seems like a touch of gilt to a lily. If you like flowers that way, on the other hand...
