Walking Out (Free verse) by NoSage
How do you help someone Find their way through the moonless night. I've been there before, Doing what I can to get another bag. I know where the pitfalls were for me, But that doesn't make it right. Still, I hate to see another wasted life Especially one as beautiful as yours. If I held your hand, and we both walked blind Unseeing in the depth of night, Perhaps we would fall before we found the dawn, But at least it's worth a try. It's not an easy path, I'll be honest about that. But before our trip is through You'll know who your friend are, Or at least which ones were true.

Say "his", not "their".

The title seems contrary. If you plan to help him/her through something and be a friend, you will not walk out.
