Hard Rock (Free verse) by Dovina
Precambrian limestone worn by waves fossil shells of living done crustaceans before humanity was. Hear their voices billions strong. What do they say across the years? The cliff is high and ruptured deep but not so high I could not jump and fall cushioned on a bed of sea. It takes a careful plan to land unwounded. Choice of place choice of time makes all the difference as every crustacean tells.

Up the ladder: Goodbye
Down the ladder: Skull Soup v.2

I used to think "Jesus, how lucky I was to have been born in America in the twentieth century and not in Africa, the Dark Ages, or outer space!"

Then I realized what a stupid thing it was to say that.

I suppose I am supposed to find some contorted relavance to the poem.

Please wipe, or otherwise de-guff, your hooves before clopping onto the ranker.

Good title. Not what I was expecting, but good none the less.
