Woman on the Stairs (Free verse) by James Rykelangeli
Under a chandelier of stars
Winds the stairway of the sky
Where the marmoreal moon
Takes her soundless steps.
The newel is
The nightingaleâs song.
The stepsâ stone is
Black star sapphires.
Her silver gown
Caresses the stairs.
Her silver eyes
Give the night their shine.
She is always adjusting
The faceted sea,
Her imperfect mirror,
Tilting it out and in
Upon the shore,
Flattering her
Eternally.
With her ascent
Awaits her groom
Behind the door of aurora
With its many hues
And a larkâs song for a handle.

(Though it brightens the night like a jewel)
Wasn't written for mullin'
It's just some wank pullin'
On his moonlight bespatteréd tool.
Indeed brightens night like a jewel
Its chandelier stars
And mystery like mars
Bespatter your thoughts to the cesspool
It's quite clear you've not mastered it yet.
I hope you'd've redacted
And were merely distracted
'cuz the newel was making you wet.
