Sounds (Free verse) by Dovina
Clickity clack of a typewriter Ka-ching of an adding machine The bells of a rotary dial Clank of milk bottles on the porch Kling-klong of a cash register Click-and-whine of a slide projector Scratch and squeal on a blackboard Click of a TV channel knob In fifty years they’ll remember .wav bytes of Quicken, soft chimes of MS Word, and the customized rings of their cell phones.

Down the ladder: jammin in the basement

Yes it's fascinating how sounds change, isn't it? Yes, it is.

While true, I don't very much like this one D. I think that it is just an observation that is drawn out into a needless poem. Sorry, I can't give it good marks. You set the bar too high for this sort of thing.

Thanks for honesty. One sound that will not change is the sound of a fart in church. Maybe I should write about that.
