The Green Emerald (Free verse) by ruella I will cross the many rivers
And journey over those damn places where
the ground keeps sloping up
My toes will be as sore as they need to
Because everything depends on finding
A rare, green emerald.
And when I
get it I will feel happy.

straight talking. this site needs more. i hate, i mean love, to nitpick, so i would lose the and on the last line. i think that will separate it from what precedes and give you more impact at the end.

beg pardon? I liked the imagery until I got to the emerald.. what's the point? that an emerald is the key to your happiness? if that's so, you're just demonstrating the worst shallowness I've evern seen..
Is seeking or fnding the green emerald the better ? You decide.
This makes no since to me....all i have to say is write when u feel emotion
