in the hands (Free verse) by halofriendly
I am laying there in the arms of Morpheus and You wish I would leave the dream realm behind me. In the darkness, I look uptight as a nightmare digs its claws deeper into my subconscious. You want to smear sunshine all over me and my room, but there is none to be found at this hour. And you wait helplessly as I shriek in fear when the monster haunts my mind and forces me to continue my sleep. He whispers, "There will be no awakening tonight."
