Stealing Glory (Free verse) by Enkidu
Congregation beneath a blue moon whispers Two hundred yards for what For Glory Glory is not worth the risk The measured darkness reveals nothing and no one So strays the guard from his post Measured steps echoing metal soles Carefully, the shadows await a faux pas The shadows Eye to eye As the day rises, more silence is heard within the stir Glory will fail us No...Glory shall not let cry The silence breaks Crying now The alarm wails a deep red Glory sits beneath her opaque sky Swept away in the arms of darkness She cries muted tears of silence Midday glows and Glory speaks The darkness has lifted me But I can see him no longer
