I Have A Love (Other) by Spindle
I have a love.
This moment has been imagined from every angle in my mind.
I saw him in every colour, every shape, every place, every kind.
And now heâs here and heâs like nothing I could have guessed.
His hair is shorter, as is his stature, even the way heâs dressed.
He doesnât rescue me from pirates
Or whisk me off to the coast.
He doesnât shower me with presents
Or read me poetry he wrote.
But he does tickle me until I canât breathe
And he makes sure Iâm ok
When I think about I canât believe
But itâs so much better this way
I have a love
And he loves me
I have a love
And so much more
I have a love
And heâs not perfect
But neither am I, for sure
So Iâll take my love and my darling
(Though heâd kill me if he heard that title was his role)
And close my eyes to the small quarreling
And instead open my heart to his soul
