Difficult Decisions (Free verse) by EAger to Offend
I am a vessel of desire
So greedy as to want EVERYTHING.
And, alas, how vain to strive for it.
With desires in conflict
I surely appear a flake,
A creature whose habit is purely random.
I wish to be restrained
But, also to indulge.
I insult fate
In pursuit of immortality.
Inevitably, the conflicts between my desires
Cause me conflicts in relationships
Where the objectionable acts of the other
Reveal the only healthy resolution.
