Pride (Free verse) by Art Glocken its difficult to think that a few moments
ago i was going to win
but now i'm on my knees,
watching everyone run into the distance
all because i didnt tie my lace
i always knew this would happen
3months of hard training
the problem being that i didnt cheat
my egg wasnt glued to the spoon
the others must have cheated.
