Dream Boy (Sonnet) by indiechic656
The deepest green to ever walk the earth;
Two swirling pools of neverending light.
Expressive when in sadness and in mirth,
his eyes are always such a joyous sight.
From far away, I see him standing there,
and fruitlessly attempt to meet his gaze.
Then turn around, and see her flip her hair,
and know that he has slipped into a daze.
He smiles then, and light reaches his eyes,
Though meant for her, those sparkles touch my soul.
And in my joy, i'm sure i don't disguise,
that only in his presence am I whole.
Just two good friends is all we'll ever be,
I wish his eyes would sparkle just for me.
