A glint of gold In dark of night, Like diamond cold In anthracite, Flashed bright then When it now regresses. Sweet young girls In summer dresses Beckoned me To warm caresses, Joy sublime And light young fingers. The rushing sea For no man lingers. Cautiousness I cast aside: I lingered not For time nor tide.
