Beam reach (Ode) by INTRANSIT
I, the Captain, this vessel my maiden, chased away from the land of the sun. I hoist my mainsail, spirit unladen knowing full well this voyage, begun. I lead, she follows, to futures unknown. I tension the lines to grace her with speed, while thoughts filter through trails of white foam, the spindrift rises and settles to bead. Our dance, a sway, to the beat of the waves cutting our course with the wind and her gusts. Daylight is passing, we cross unseen graves dashing past death with a mutual trust.
