Hollow Dreams (Other) by Alyssa91
Shaken free of hollow dreams An ice-cold sweat that’s taken me Past hell and brimstone, harp and angel Left here in misery, left all the stranger No white knight to slay my dragons Only salt tears, which seem to drag on Down my cheek, where reabsorbed Reminding me I can’t ignore The pulsing, spreading, ice-cold sensation That breaks my bones and causes tension Between heart and mind, and mind and heart And soon the world will split apart And fall, will I, through cave-like chasms Back into all those hollow dreams Where I know that I will ever be The object of love and affection Not, as is truth, of plague and affliction And hell and brimstone, harp and angel Will bear alone the weight of my anger
