moments lost in adversity (Free verse) by brazen
dropping the tangible life
swallowed by muffled dreams
i drug a motion in you
pulled you away from the flame
but all i had to live by
was the ignorance of your lies
and the brutality of your game.
broken in the wind up north
disdain pours across the mound
filling your mouth with words
that mean nothing to the heart
as they follow your endless drought
into a valley of misdeeds
distorting all my optic feeds.
silence is a bliss forgotten
when i stare into your world
never thought i'd dream of living
the last day as it has unfurled...
