Enantiodromia (Free verse) by Bonehiss
I love you Soul Doctor.
Gentle caretaker of my spirit,
Down with the sickness unto death,
My love for you.
The frail progeny
Of our worlds in collision.
Our worlds turn.
Darkness devours the light
As your transformation is complete.
Now, master of misdirection,
Expert in the art of deception
You work with grim determination,
Craving deliverance
From the bondage of my love.
Igniting the bonfires of disharmony,
You nurture my dysfunction,
Eroding the bedrock
Of my hope and desire,
My love for you.
The frail progeny
Of our lives in derision
Our lives burn.
My mind racing with the lurid energy
Of a thousand downtowns,
Seeks explanations.
But there are none.
Only a deeper, darker shadow
Cast on the landscape of my consciousness.
Physician turned sorcerer,
Heal thyself.
I hate you, Soul Doctor.
