Mother Earth (Free verse) by DewDrop
In sun scorched Nicaragua
Malnutrition is one in eight child's middle name
They farm coffee beans for peanuts
And we pay 3 dollars a cup.
A film star and his film star wife, a nobody from the valleys
Are in the High Court, they've been wronged, someone took photos at
their wedding show
You can see the point: They'd sold the rights for a million or so.
Another rain forest is cleared for cattle
And BK sells the flame-grilled fodder to the troops in Kuwait
Hey, nobody likes incest, especially when Nuclear Weapons are involved.
Justice? Ask the grieving mother of a stillborn.
