Forgotten (Free verse) by famenglory
From skinned knees and easily preoccupied To dropping cherry bombs on that fisherman, You both have been on either side God couldn't have made a better plan You always knew from the beginning That I would be a shining star We three made it through thick and thin, always winning And so to you I dedicate this memoir Though most good things end in a flash For you it ended in something forgotten. You didn't have to be, yet you were rash. Wayant, your angel wings turned rotten Does it really take the death of a spouse, Just to bring a light to your eyes? Your pride makes you as insignificant as a mouse. to quote: "Time flies, and then no need to endure anymore, time dies" Here's a secret, as the hourglass turns, you don't get any younger Just more stubborn by the second. Never could satisfy the hunger Its not only your happiness you pawned... I know, as well, that i am forever in Arlington, But that doesn't mean what we had once is lost. Walter, take your chance, its all or none Just think of what your stubborness has cost. From skinned knees and easily preoccupied To dropping cherry bombs on that fisherman, Must you really chose a side? I wish you had come up with a better plan
