Woke Up (Free verse) by brazen
sleeping soundly and undisturbed
haven't dreamed like this before
wish I never had little more
sweet salvation to rest my bones
beside the passion of fire and moans
which fuels the desire in my furnace
and opens my eyes to your breathing flesh.
woke up to a dream
that I will never wake up from
my heart is busting at its seams
for how graceful reality has become
a dessert for my lips
and a sunset for my eyes
the sensation between my hips
and sweat from off my thighs
an eternity comes too soon
when I affect your tide like the Moon.
the center of the puzzle
looked like the table it sat upon
your pieces drifted gently in
and exposed the absence for what it was
so fit yourself in rest
naked upon my chest
challenging all others to bet
to find a difference in our silohuettes.
