The Rise of Dr Herbert Cyan (Free verse) by cyan9
I fulfilled you and washed you of your tainted light.
I cushioned you in the warmth of my tears,
I held you and opened you into my life.
Long would I lay by your side unseen,
I watched as you lay restless in bed,
As you tossed and turned your head,
Drowning in your sweat.
How could I stand there, do nothing
Be nothing, while you needed my help;
I took pity on you
I created a world for you,
A world where darkness wove a duvet to comfort,
A world where in my darkness you could sleep.
I empowered you with my lies,
Delivered you from your descent,
Delivered you from harms edge.
I made you a rock star in your mind,
I made your mother die 5 times a year,
I made them give you their sympathy.
I am your first great creation,
Your first great self.
I am Dr Herbert Cyan.
