Come tonight I'm waiting (Free verse) by kawakurdi
Come tonight I am waiting I have lain my forehead on the palm of anticipation. It is you who is coming It must be ! I am waiting. If you do not come the castle of my hope will collapse If you do not come I will dance on the stage of my desperation throw my sorrows to the wind and celebrate the burning of my heart Come tonight I am waiting All the world is a messenger bringing to me the happy tidings of your coming. My surroundings are alert ears eliciting voices even from silence! There is a footfall There is a whisper It is you who is coming It must be! I am waiting Every stirring of the wind is a swing swaying the happy tidings of your coming Every road is a flute Playing the music of your steps Every wall is a chime Ringing the bell of your arrival Every shadow parts like a soft lip smiling for your reception It is you who is coming It must be! I am waiting.
