Red Dress Wearing One Boot Cowboy (Free verse) by Lenore
Stumbles through Sun baked Dirt caked Wind swept sand. Blinding grit Ground in by hand. Smeared on rouge Pains a salty wound And the only drink is sweat. Driven on by his one last hope; That they haven’t killed him yet. Now cracked leather scorched His soul once torched For the sweet taste of his one stick wonder, But ashes to ashes They caught him at last And now he’s six feet under.

Up the ladder: A Fool's Errand
Down the ladder: Garden

Are you familiar with the short story "Brokeback Mountain" by Annie Proulx?

I just read a snippet and a well-written review. I think I’ll give it a go. Thanks.
