Eclipsed Heart (Free verse) by Richard
I share souls with the Moon Feeling both solitude and loneliness Adrift in an orbit that knows no rest or fulfillment At moments the Sun brightens my remorse And I shed my darkness and dark thoughts among the Constellations From time to time I stand Eclipsed in the Heavens Darkness bothers my eyes and my tears are blackness They fall into the void of nothingness and are swallowed Like the soft sigh my once spoken words of love have become There are echo's softly floating among the stars But they fall on deaf ears like broken gemstones against a Jewelers Chisel My Heart- A failed vision of beauty, dying slowly as the Moon sets and the Sun rejoices.
