The Lincoln Half (Free verse) by MacFrantic
A heads a heads a heads a head This probable isn't This probable not A hundred thousand pennied presidents It's a bad day for the memorial Only came up once In a converstion not a flip But as long as it's fifty-fifty I'll keep my thumb workin' When it comes down to quarters Football has it even But a heads a head always Never tails

Up the ladder: love
Down the ladder: Never Ending Cycle

Lines 5,6,7 have no obvious context. Other than that I find this quite cute.
