I heard it on the grapevine (Free verse) by april fool
I heard it on the grapevine So I guess it must be true The rumour mill is turning And I am soaking through You left me for another Which happens now and then But to go out with my brother? Well I'm a laughing stock again But what in him you see I doubt on every day But what you see in him is me? A curious thing to say It still hurts from time to time Like a nagging nipping blister But to banish you from my mind I'll need to date your sister.

Up the ladder: suicide
Down the ladder: somewhere, i'm not

A bit common - but it might be a good drinking song.
