Love is Like a Rose (Free verse) by justjay
Love is like a rose. The soft velvet pedals, like an intimate kiss from a loved one. Something so soft and mooth that it can't be described. The beautiful red color, the color of love. Red passion seen only by bright eyes. A harsh color with a sensitive touch. But a rose has its thorns, much like love. When you embrace it it must be firm as to not drop or break it. But also light enough not to crush it or get pricked. Love is like a rose, but only to those who can embrace it.

Up the ladder: Diary of sorrow....
Down the ladder: Too Weak

My friend you have been misinformed we all know love is an exploding american soldier on a tenspeed in the middle of some sand niggered hell hole.

Actually, I thought it was the twist of a blade and the warmth of blood running down one's wrist, collecting at the elbow, then streaming off.

Nay, it's actually a small child doing cherry pickers off of a rusty tank turret in a field somewhere in Bosnia at dusk.
