Flown (Free verse) by MacFrantic
I freed a bird I Named him Phil He was a fool he Was a pill That lazy stare that Awful grin An evil eye an Honest sin For Phil I gave for Phil I waited By and by I grew more sated Until the day until My time This fiend this Bird of wicked rhyme He perched so sly he Screeched his rule So loud he pierced so Sharp and cruel At last I broke at Last I cowed Who rescued who From certain shrouds This is my crib this Is my crypt For Phil no more for This my kip I stand and wait I Watch him go Now burden gone now Burden flown

Up the ladder: Firewoman
Down the ladder: Forgive and regret
