One Moment in Time (Free verse) by katie_jean
One moment in time Time ceased to exist Something happened Far greater than could be imagined New feelings were felt True emotions found their way out True happiness was achieved His soft touches on her skin Her longing look into his eyes This was it One moment in time No more, no less It wasn’t a mistake Nor was it right Something brought them together Something keeps them apart The memories are still fresh The emotions are still strong One moment in time Wishes to be an eternity.

I had a date like that once. I saw her but for a fleeting moment halfway around the world - and then I woke from a dream. Nice but disturbing memory.

The last time I witnessed a 'moment' wishing? My foot fell off and called me a cornholer.

Scarcely an image in the entire poem. I want to believe you I do. But its so distant, just words.

I wouldn't know, maybe I'm just too ugly for things like this to happen to me. Even briefly. And there is too an image here! Way in here.
