Holding on for Jesus (Lyric) by Everyone
I aint no perfect angel And I aint no swingin' saint Got my fair share of troubles Need a brand new coat of paint Thought I'd learn from my mistakes Just like the Lord above But when I need my friends the most I turn my back on those I love But I'm holding on for Jesus He's gonna keep me whole Yeah I'm holding on for Jesus He's gonna save my soul When life has got you down And you're livin' in the gutter Then welcome to my world, baby It ain't all bread and butter Mean streets is all you got And all you gotta do is cheat 'cos when life knocks you down, brother You don't always land on your feet But I'm holding on for Jesus He's gonna keep me whole Yeah I'm holding on for Jesus He's gonna save my soul Well I lost myself to whiskey And I sold myself to crack Knew I'd hit rock-bottom, baby Thought there was no way back But I opened up my heart to Him Turned over a brand new leaf I dedicate my life to Him- My heart, my soul, my grief Yeah I'm holding on for Jesus He's gonna keep me whole Yeah I'm holding on for Jesus He's gonna save my soul Holding on for Jesus Holding on for Him Holding on for Jesus Holding on for Him...

Me? Bumping into a Voodoo Priest changed everything.

I feel the same way about the time I bumped into a wet roll of toilet paper.

Letting go for Jesu, though I'm no Jew (Beeric) by No one (Free verse) by horus8

I aint no couchey comfort eagle
And I aint no swingin' chunk o sac
Got my fair share of poetic doubles
And now there's no turning back
Thought I'd learnt from my previous swan dives
that the Lord takes his spuds with sour cream & chives
And when I needed my friends to pay?
They said "You have AIDS, and you are gay".
So I jumped anyway like Wile E. Coyote.
Another whitey on display, trippin' on peyote
stuffed Frioles.

But I'm letting go for Jesu
We're gonna smoke da kind bowl
Yeah I'm letting go for Jesu
He's gonna get catty on my pole.

When life has got your number
And you're livin' in the gutter
Then welcome to my world, Scutter (Like in Carnivale)
It ain't all spread out with duck butter
Billy Jean streets is all you'll get
And all you gotta do is go Chet (Like in Weird Science)
'cos when life knocks you up, brother
You don't always pull a Pink Panther
and fuck a 'sick' transexual belly dancer.

But I'm letting go for a Jesu
He's gonna keep me real sane
Yeah I'm letting go for your Jesu
and all his rocked up cocaine.

Well I found myself in cheap whiskey
And I held myself on piped smack
Knew I'd hit top drawer, oh baby
Though I'd lost my favourite Hackey Sackey
But I opened up my beef heart to you
Turned over a brand new dark sheet
I dedicate my life, Jesu
My art, my heart, my feet
Feet cleaning is what you do.
that's why I fell in love with you.

Yeah, I'm letting go for Jesu
He's gonna scrape my last bowl
Yeah I'm holding on for Jesu
He's gonna save my soul
He's gonna stoke my coal
He's worth the big let go
Ask little Joe from KOKOMO
and the dragonless from Komodo.

You know man, Salvation isn't easy. I hope you have the strength to hold on, it's a rough ride, and everyone seems to want to pull you off.

What do you know richa? I've been trying so hard to hold on for Jesus. But complete bastards keep trying to pull me off the straight and narrow by tempting me with crisps, sweets, and prostitution. I only started a major junk groove in the drug scene after I was pushed passed the funk threshold by disgustingly large quantities of peer pressure. And as any hipster knows: it's all downhill from there, baby. Nobody wants to pull me off? I'll let you be the judge of that when you finally decide to open your eyes to life on the mean streets of crazy town...

For sarcasm, this is pretty fun.

To be honest I don't believe in Jesus, and I have 666 on my neck. I give you 9, becuase it's good and it's possible that there's a Jesus. If I did believe a 10 would have fit, but sadly I don't believe in something I don't understand.

Ha ha, you dope.

I'm afraid no one else is going to point out to you that believing in the significance of the number 666 means you implicitly believe in Jesus - so here you go. Why I'm taking the trouble to tell you this is beyond me, except that I vaguely feel sorry for you. You're like an escaped Flannery O'Connor character, a poor pre-gorilla-suit Enoch Emery. I love her stuff.

not necessarily, as someone who grew up in a fundamentalist home, I can imagine someone tatooing 666 somewhere obvious just to end all discussion for once and for all. Only when they accept you as irrevocably irredeemable will they shut the fuck up.

A perfectly laid trap, neatly snaring the obvious prey. In 9 minutes, lolololol. I doff my fez & scratch my bald spot to you sir.
