Empty Sorrow (Free verse) by hummers86
Spinning too fast Sometimes too slow Choices bring about Where we should go Falling off is inevitable Keeping straight is not easy While steering the boat With tides increasing Some pain is for good But usually is for bad Though Controlling the anger Reduces the sad Too many times The ones we love Slip from our grasp And fall from above Torture taking affect In consuming the weak Spitting back broken hearts Too constricted to speak Tears flutter the sockets Like windows they show Peering into the soul Causing nothing to grow To reveal the scar Can be pain full for some Releasing new pulp It then seals it to none Fear coming for them Various flavors to choose Easy then unbearable As there beginning to lose An unsightly sight But one still in view You can sell out your aid Till it sucks you through When its time to let go The mind stays unreal So the body still lingers For something to feel Anguish comes to play While embracing the hollow Before the realize come After the empty follow In the end all is done In the end all is gone Then cutting your losses You finally move on

Up the ladder: Tear-Stained Pages
Down the ladder: Rescue Me
