Turncoat (Free verse) by poetandknowit
A country of men or countrymen noble in culture and claims of good intention allow the pen to carry such weight as to create flight in front of their eyes only for kindling, and you to love your words so as to accept fate, love your wife and wait, maybe on the shores of the black sea in the house they gave you to keep quiet.

Down the ladder: Master

Something fierce. And the single rhyme in this - fate/wait - well played, that bit.

(I must confess to be ignorant of the background - saudi arabia? egypt?)

The first time I've ever seen pigeon poop maintain its meaning at 55 mph. I have to give that a 9. Though you are, disturbingly still, the ugliest man alive.

Such flowing words - though I don't completely understand it.

The touch of rhyme in the middle is used to good effect.

Is this about Ovid? I like it a lot. Come back poetandknowit, you've not been on the ranker for a long while.
