time's concubine (Other) by skaskowski
rocks climb the hill climb the tracks climb the sky, sunlight feels so right, feels warm, feels delicious. wind climbs the leaves climbs my neck moves my hair, air feels like fingers, like cold soothing touches. sound climbs up shadows over bees on my shoe; this day feels so empty, so full, so serene. motors and crickets and rustling grasses; bare skin stays covered, exposed from within. thoughts dance up neurons, spit electric, sinew synapse; so eclectic, so unified, so simply superb. i watch and hear, feel and sense day's delight singing, as i sit, twitching, motionless, ignorantly aware. clouds pass like sentinels, guarding all heartbeats; wind moves like voices to comfort all calamity. rocks fall down frigid, remorseful recollections; yet all Autumn asks for is constant attention. shadows feel forceful, so seductively sensuous; marred by my innocense i am controlled by this. moonlight and mountains and other distant promises lay me down limply, i'm simply a memory.

Up the ladder: Mourning Glory
Down the ladder: asleep in the night
