The Love of -=Dark_Angel=- and J.B.Manning (Limerick) by ho_hum
To commemorate the recent conversation between one J.B.Manning and -= Dark_Angel=- http://www.poemranker.com/poem-details.jsp?id=66756 I present thee with a selection of truly abysmal limericks. I include suggested marks for those of you too awestruck to submit your own. There once was a man named J.B. Gay, and as proud as can be But his haugty poo-pooing would be his undoing, Through his ardour he just couldn't see. -1- An old lady named Mother Teresa In the next life, comes armed with a laser! Through her spiritual power she thwarts gays every hour I'm sure Dark Angel's skills would amaze her. -2- J.B. was a bender of sorts I doubt that he played enough sports It's just one of the ways of sniffing out gays prob'ly suffering from anal warts. -2- You can tell by the smell of rose water Said DA, as he furthered the torture J.B. was enraged but he couldn't have gauged He went in like a lamb to the slaughter. -2- Although some of you like young DA Might he keep his anger at bay? For he seems to be losing His powers of abusing Please no! What a terrible day. -3- The power of a row, Mr. Manning, principally lies in the planning. In the words of Sun-Tzu Know you enemy too So it will be you does the panning. -0- (truly abysmal and contrived). I couldn't believe that he bought it! 'Caught the Gay', pah!, who would have thought it? In this battle of wits They were looking like twits Other poets just simply ignored it. -0- (god I wish there were negative scores, that sucks). So could this now be the hour That Dark Angel loses his power? I think J.B. has touched him And he's losing his chagrin So this site will now be much less sour. -1- And there is where I shall leave it My poems just couldn't get more shit That's the tale of young Manning Who, for want of a sense of humour took a pasting from Dark Angel.

So true, but sadly the force of your message was entirely undermined by a six syllable second line.

I am, however, unlikely to pen further poems about DA's infection with the gay.

Sir Manning's new verse is fantastic,
It's lyrical, raw and scholastic,
I just think it's swell,
But in case you can't tell
I'm actually being sarcastic.
