hells kitchen (Free verse) by crwncka1
the haunted chambers down below, screeching sounds of violent terror, heard all within these dark corridors, chains are seen hanging from above, floating around in the coldness of the wind, felt coming in though the open pass way, is where I have come, to find the soul of my love, trapped somewhere down in this labyrinth, of ice cold endless darkness, room after room I cautiously peer, all around above and below, for the glow of the eyes, of the love I lost, just as I spot the emerald key, in the faint moonlight casting down, though a small opening from above, I reach my hand out to take, the jewel that I have longed to find, that is needed to unlock, the secret doorway that leads, down under to the unknown end part, of this maze of endless confusion, where my true love is lost, as I carefully unlock the cellar door, I see nothing but eyes floating about, though the chilling deep darkness, as I take a step down, to my startling surprise I free fall down, a long distance until finally, splashing down deep under, in a sink like pond of freezing water, with my challenge now growing, survival has come to the forefront, I must free my love and somehow escape out, of this terrible water prison of hell below

Up the ladder: The Last Stop
