True Respect (A Distant Adoration) (Free verse) by abecedarian
I can smell the purfume of a hundred people but here is one that I see completely surrounded by a buzzing mass of fickle need I watch as bits of you escape in brilliant warm spears of light uncomfortably detained radiating grace and desperation amidst a suffocation You glance over to where I sit and flash a knowing smile, finally understanding my compliment - that it is possible to adore someone so much that you avoid their presence altogether.

Up the ladder: haunting

"Perfume", but you know what? Who cares. this is a really fine example of poetic magic and universal appeal. this is exactly what young, self absorbed poets like bristol line swaft are missing. The spark of mystery and magic and a connection to your audience. 10.

Beautiful. I like "buzzing mass of fickle need". But then, I'm fickle.

I've thought a bit recently about being 'fickle':

Is it possible that the flowing costume of fleeting feelings is perhaps hung about a solid and well conceived stand that requires redecoration?

That is a nice theory, until I change my mind about it.

Of course you'll change your mind about it (unless you don't).
