"war is in the Air" (Free verse) by munsonbeach
1/30/03 No matter where i go, it's in my face. No matter where i look i cannot avoid it. Fear is overwhelming, but what do we have to fear. People are asking questions, but are they the right ones. What are we to do when it feels like we have no control. Is one life better than another, Is one resource worth one life. I wish people would think, I wish they would stop and think. To open there eyes and see the man behind the curtain. Innocent people are going to die.

Down the ladder: Gone missing

If you were born you are no longer innocent, end of fucking story. That's what George Carlin says. "Innocent people" is as euphemistic as "casualty". The poem itself is fine however.
