one day, one moment (Free verse) by crwncka1
father time forever ticks away, as new days are always ahead, the fog I see filling the air, tells me a new morning is here, and with the fog surely to burn away, with the noontime sun sure to shine, this day will likely pass on, without much thought or memory, but I do promise to be on my way, now living only for the moment, as behind me I now see, everything that lies ahead of me, what this brings me is truth, of what life is all about, as nothing now means much to me, expect for what my eyes see, and as I take a look around, in every which direction, I feel at peace knowing, that the only thing real, is the sense of being alive, and with this moment soon gone, passing away unnoticed to many, surely as this wisdom spoken of, will not be given much thought

Up the ladder: Missing
Down the ladder: Muddy Streams

A bit prosaic and lacking.
I like the idea of fog as burning away (like smoke).

Unless you are about to delve deep into philosophy I would leave 'the only thing real' well alone because it just sounds cliched.
