to my best friend david (Free verse) by wowzers718
The day I met you I found a friend And a friendship that I pray will never end. Your smile is the best if ever seen And your love Kept me going When day was darker then night You never ever treat me different You understood when i was sadAnd gave me the hope of a better tomorrow. Then you told me it didnt have to like this You were always there for me, I knew your the one i can turn to You gave me advice and encouragement Whenever I didn't know what to do. You helped me learn to love myself You made life seem great You said I can do anything I put my mind to And then i beleaved i could There were times when we didn't get along And there were days when both shed tears But even so we made it through: Our friendship hasn't yet died. and after all we've been through i think im falling in love with you

the depth of feeling in your stuff is amazing but there's something about love poems that gets a bit yucky ..... very difficult to do without a poetic meta-structure ... so to speak :-\ ...unless i missed it .... a low mark with love
