An Undulation in Time (Free verse) by Monchichee
She sits and stares at the menu pensively Attempting to ignore the monotonous Tapping of the waitresses pen Against her notepad Other thoughts reside in her mind right now Irrespective of what entree to select And chooses a pasta dish solely To have Ms. Impatient depart the immediate vicinity This whole time he has had a fixed gaze upon her His mind equally as brimming with Contemplations and thoughts Of what is right and wrong He desires so to be a magician and make the outside world That of which defies his own Drown into an abyss that Cannot touch what he genuinely feels Somewhere along the line there was a crack In the window of linear and spatial time And she slipped through effortlessly Into his life and now sits before him Growing perpetually more beautiful Accelerating with each passing second, minute, hour Her posture dictates uncertainty and vulnerability However she is unaware of the contrary For she has the reigns under control Much like the most adept equestrian And has by no fault or intention of her own Rendered him powerless by just being her
