No Tomorrow (Free verse) by mikehi
I walk alone, alone with nothing but my thoughts. I see a world full of pain, anger and hate. A world in which I can not see hope. Hope for peace and calm in my time. As a race we humans are easily led, Led by those that would do us harm. Only to accept our fate without so much as a whisper, To say ‘well go ahead, I can’t stop you’. There are those of us that fight, we fight for a better tomorrow, But even among these fighters there are sheep. Again to be led by those who seek power in the name of peace, And again they are led to their fate. Is there no way that we can improve? Should we not focus our fight as a race? Or are there too many sheep in the fields? An easy feast for the next predator that comes along. I fear that at our current rate, there will be no tomorrow.

Up the ladder: Axe Murderer
Down the ladder: play to win

These are troubling issues, indeed. But I'm sure your poeme will solve them. Good Christ I hope so...
