I sit awake Light glaring Eyes glazing Me staring To my past and the way it was The memories that I will never forget The times that I wish were eternity To the day that our eyes met I convinced myself You were an angel Taking care of my heart Was lost in yours The heavens broke our bond I knew it was for the best I wanted to stay friends You were unlike the rest But what can I say now My heart convinced me Of things I wanted to hear Of things untrue
