That November Night (Lyric) by hotwire
It was cold and dark that night November The alley was wet and damp and I surrendered The knife it shined so bright I could still see it with my eyes closed tight Death would have been a blessing back then but that would have ment the end and wish I may wish I might have gone a different way that night that night the knife it shined so bright he did what he wanted not a word was said my innocence I was force to shed I ran and hid trusted no one at one point I even got a gun Firing at targets it ain't the same I want to fire at what's his name It hurt so much and for so long I went for help yet I was wrong No one believe me got turned away forced to cope without a word to say it doesn't matter what happened then it's how I handle it in the end I put it behind me and lifted my head up I look forward and say what the fuck My life goes on his does too I won't let it go There is more to do I won't let one night end my life Just because he couldn't sleep with his wife that November night

I really enjoyed your unacceptance of the past-tense, and your depiction of the word 'meant'. Really, it was captivating.
