the shadowless night
for these long nights
for these long nights filled with shadows
these shadowy nights
for creepiness they add
to the nighttime atmosphere
to the nighttime drama
to the nighttime scenery
to the life of the night
for there are shadows i see
i see everywhere on this night
on this the darkest of nights
on this one dark night in particular
shadows of all types
some darker then others
but theirs this one
this one in particular that i notice
that is i say
the darkest of all
for it is the one
the one that i myself cast
this is the one i tell of
for it seems to be forever black
on this the darkest of nights
that i speak of
black shadow of mine
please speak to me
for tell me why
why it is your so black
for you cause me agony
for you cause me grief
for you cause me guilt
for you cause me pain
well let tonight be the night
the one night
that i no longer see you
as you have grown forever black
