Lonely Love. (Free verse) by Exiled_humanity
My heart sings, As my feelings swell, Within the joy that love brings, Even so sadness dwells, For imprisoned are my feelings, Between those that I love, You that I love, And those you love. The well is polluted, By the feelings I have muted, Happiness becomes sadness, Just to please the masses, And not us. The bloom of love, Turns to the gloom of dispair, Deadened becomes the grove, By the conflicting pair, Misery and love. Can the day come, When we tell the world, What we have become, Or will it always be "mums the word", And be like we have never begun. A love unknown, To no one, But me, And the.

Up the ladder: The joke is wearing thin
Down the ladder: Heartbeat

The last stanza saved your ass, because it's posh up until that last pretty step.
