My task (Free verse) by Blindproject217
My Task Staring down at the abyss my mind reels I know I was meant to take this journey All the signs have led me this far I fear what may become of me My soul is unsettled at the very thought of it Blackness depicts my emotion and my mindset My decision hangs on a thread One wrong move and everything I have worked- For will unravel I question myself because I am unsure I scream my distress to the wind Because I have used all my strength Failure taunts me Your end will be shame she screams The trees sway in rhythm as the night grows cold I grit my teeth at the thought of failure I will not lay down and let death consume me I will break away from you You can not control me Your words sound like honey But they are dripping with blood You have been defeated before And this day is no exception As the night grows cold I will carry out my task Like an angel I will lift from this plane And look back to see you chained to the earth FOREVER

Up the ladder: ocean mistake
Down the ladder: On Reading

Never bashed a fag, Only tough when needed, Truth in a world void of absolutes, Always.
