Colorado (Free verse) by Voth269
The wind blowing softly through the trees, Carrying a message for the beholder to see. Along with the wind the river calls out, Bringing peace and harmony to the world no doubt. The mountains look so tame yet so wild, Showing off its beauty for miles. The contrast of colors and diversity of plants, Show the riches of the past.

Up the ladder: *Round*
Down the ladder: I Don't Understand

Eye-rays that disintegrate and fill with disease,
And they also allow for the beholder to see.
Out of the river the troglodytes jump out,
Bringing swift death to Gwen from No Doubt.
The mountains look so tame yet so wild,
Filled with the giants that fathered my child.
The contrast of colors from my prismatic blast,
Are not quite enough to stop the raging Tarrasque!

Oh, I title that "Fiendfolio".

And "plants" doesn't rhyme with "past", Vothy.

You and razorgrin could form the official "Wry D&D Poetry" club. Speaking of razorgrin, razorgrin, just what the fuck do you think you're doing writing a sentimental bullshit love poem after all those criticisms you made of other sentimental bullshit love poems? I suppose sentimental bullshit love poems seem less like sentimental bullshit when you're the one who's written them.

Yeah, "razorgrin" is the one who brought me here, and her boyfriend and I were the one who brought her into the wild world of D&D.

Oi! since when is necrophelia a sentimental love poem! Besides, there is a big difference between the writer and the speaker. I was not writing as myself in that. jesus godfuck!

This is only the fifth poem I have read in here...is it just me?! Maybe random is not the way to go...okay...I suggest a comma after 'world', and before 'no doubt'. Do the mountains look wild or tame? could you have elaborated? Could you have painted us a picture? Could you have painted the details of the contrast in colors and textures of plants? I have a suspicion that you could do more and better, if you elaborated, painting a picture with your words.

Random is not the way to go. Most of these users left poemranker years ago. Their poems show up on the random rotation because the administrator has set up random to show poems which nobody's bothered to vote on first. Which is kind of like walking through doors butt-first. To be fair, the poems on the Recent listings, written by current users, aren't much better. Welcome to p/r.
