Midnight (Free verse) by jfackf
The hour is getting late I wonder why I wait Too much time to think Maybe I need a drink It might clear my head Or just empy it instead Midnight in a nowhere place Hide or debate the rat race Something I can almost taste Still I worry about waste Striving for mirrored dreams When nothing is as it seems Maybe the tonic and gin Will put me together again Or perhaps I should go for a drive But how will I know if I arrive?

Up the ladder: Dragons
Down the ladder: Fields of Deception
