Apex of the Moon (Ode) by scornofangels
Where rivers tie together and snow retracts from ice, a storm therein is brewing I never thought came twice. Reflections in the sky deliver me the rain derived from the emotions which lead the path astray. A journey through the valley, then to the mountain's crest. Again I stumble downward within my aching breast. Catch me as I fall. Heal these throbbing wounds. Deliver me again to the apex of the moon.

Up the ladder: this old man (edit)
Down the ladder: What Do You Want From Me?
