The irony of "Less Is More" is that LMVDR was a fatass.

LUDVIG MIES VAN DE ROHE, FINAL PRESIDENT OF THE BAUHAUS SCHOOL IN WIEMAR/DESSAU BEFORE THEIR LACK OF PITCHED ROOVES CAUGHT DER FUHRER'S EYE. DESIGNED BUILDINGS LIKE THE SEAGRAM'S HEADQUARTERS ON PARK AVE. DESIGNED FURNITURE, LIKE THE CHAIR FOR THE BARCELONA EXHIBITION. IN MY OPINION HIS FINEST WORK WAS THE NEW NATIONAL GALLERY IN BERLIN. LIKE AN INDUSTRIAL ARTS AND CRAFTS TYPE CONSTRUCTION, POETICALLY CONSIDERED EXPOSED GIRDERS, BEAUTIFULLY STATED CIELINGS, AN ENORMOUS ROOF THAT SEEMS TO FLOAT ON DELICATE PILLARS.
